“When we are working well as a commissioning team, we make real improvements to the health and comfort of future occupants and the ease of maintenance for facility teams in a very quiet way.”
Kelsey Leslie is driven by a passion for optimizing building performance, knowing that it directly contributes to enhancing human well-being and productivity. Her natural curiosity and nearly 15 years of experience have created a deep understanding of complex building systems. Whether performing an ASHRAE energy audit for an existing building or reviewing the design documentation for a future facility, she ensures intricate HVAC systems and Building Automation Systems (BAS) are fully functional and optimized for occupants’ long-term needs.
Paladin’s collaborative culture is essential for her, and she’s proud to be part of a team that values craftsmanship, respect, and accountability. She describes her work as “quietly transformative,” where the improvements her team make often go unnoticed by occupants but create lasting value through comfort and operational ease.
Inspired by a desire to leave buildings better off so future generations benefit from well-commissioned, sustainable spaces, she guides her family in making good decisions: they compost, recycle, buy consignment, grow gardens, and are active members of a CSA (Community-supported agriculture).
